Healthcare Improvement is a Global Process. In keeping with our commitment to foster international collaboration we wish to ambitiously ‘put a number’ on social and professional capital in Mumbai Healthcare Quality. The Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality [CPHQ] is an internationally recognized certification program administered by the certification board of the National Association for Healthcare Quality [NAHQ], USA. As part of maxiMUMcare campaign we will role out Intensive Exam Preparation programs throughout the Campaign period with the hope of encouraging every hospital to employ a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. The program will be highly subsidized. The program is offered as good will and aims to ensure 300 CPHQ’s by July 2017, with equal number of certified professionals in private and public healthcare system.
The program will also provide continued assistance and guidance- at- work for the professionals and also provide credentialing assistance to the organisations participating in the campaign.
A very small number of seats will be made available to participants from other cities under un-subsidized category.
Why CPHQ ?
The aim of the maxiMUMcare Campaign is to create world-class ‘Capabilities for Improvement’ that is sustainable. Creating a network of professionals who share common credentials and can associate with peers around the world is central for sustainability and progress of Healthcare Quality in Mumbai.
While there are other certification programs such as ABMQ and several year long diplomas in healthcare quality management , CPHQ has the largest number of members worldwide. While CPHQ has withdrawn separate certification for its international candidates , it has however retained its relaxed eligibility criteria. Thus has ensured high standards for passing the exam. CPHQ has a continuous credentialing requirement and offers support for professional networking and career development.
As maxiMUMcare is a city – based campaign we want to create professional capital that is comparable with other global cities outside the USA , such as Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong and Abu Dabhi, that have large numbers of CPHQ professionals .
maxiMUMcare hopes not only to provide exam preparation but is also seek funding to provide one- time, exam- fee scholarship for all those who are part of the campaign.
